I'm not a Mac developer so the odds of me seeing something useful and making some progress is around 25% (but I'm an optimist). When accessing another shared folder on the network it doesnt seem to load (I left this running and it had connected by the next morning)(there are multiple. I don't see anything else personal, but the output I'm going to ask for is enormous. I absolutely see my user name in the logs and I've never attempted to override the private setting. It would be best to PM me the output from the logs. I couldnt write to it, but I could transfer files from it. On my previous MBP (2012 Unibody, Windows 7, OSX 10.11.6), I was able to see my Mac HD when I was working in Boot Camp. The logs are supposed to free of sensitive information, but I can't promise something won't be exposed see this information about. Make sure your Mac is connected to the network. With Mac Os 11 (Big Sur), it seems I cannot access my cloud home via smb. On the PC however I cannot see the Mac I have looked at various articles / tutorials on the subject but what I am doing wrong eludes me. I can't imagine anyone being able to get anything done with this level of performance. I built a FreeNAS running AFP and copied the files over to that.same result, very very slow. I did some googling and found this is common complaint with OSX and SMB. I called Apple and they of course had nothing useful to say. I also setup a QNAP NAS with AFP and then SMB, same situation, very slow at browsing. The server is brand new, running Server 2016, hdd's are SSD. Therefore, the Bootcamp control panel cannot display any APFS boot partition. Apple didnt update the Bootcamp software to that level. There is no driver in Windows to read APFS yet. Last MS recommendation was to do an in place reinstall of Windows 11. Always get the Windows cannot access error code 0x80070035 Hours of web searches and two hours of Microsoft Support and problem not fixed. If your High Sierra partition is APFS, then your Macs behaviour is normal. The Win 11 systems can access the Win 10 system shares, but none of the computers can access the Win 11 system shares. In Network & Internet settings on Windows 11, click. In Network & Internet settings on Windows 10, click Status in the sidebar, then select View hardware and connection properties. When it opens, navigate to Network & Internet. This 'resets' Apple's native Netbios processes. 2.-Go to Network -> Advanced -> WINS: Modify your machine name twice and apply. And re-enable the access (uncheck and check the checkbox twice, to make sure). I tested this with a Windows machine and files and folders show up immediately and you can quickly browse around. The only way is to reboot by holding down ALT. One of the shares has about 25k folders in it. While it does connect and authenticate, it's painfully slow completely useless its so slow. Apparently support is offered on Mac, but not on Windows. Hello, It seems that Snap Camera on Windows 10 cannot see the GoPro webcam app used to connect GoPro as a webcam via USB cable.
